Never shot a weapon before or thinking about your first purchase? Stop into DVSC and learn as much as you can. Our staff will walk you through the process of finding what firearm fits you the best. We can put a firearm in your hands, so that you can have a real experience up close and personal.

We offer a full line of classes, designed to get you shooting like an ace, along with instruction that focus on personal protection and safety. Defensive Shooting Fundamentals
This 90-minute session covers:
· Defensive shooting versus marksmanship
· Muscle memory explained
· Proper grip
· A natural and neutral shooting platform
· Aligning the muzzle to the target
· Point / instinctive shooting

· Precise sight alignment
· Trigger control

New Jersey Concealed Carry Qualification Course
This three-hour course covers: Rules for Safe Gun handling
· The importance of carrying and using a pistol responsibly and ethically
· “Dry” Exercises in Classroom/Home

NRA Basics of Pistol, Rifle, or Shotgun Shooting Certification
This eight-hour course covers:
· In depth gun safety rules
· Gun parts identification
· How the gun works
· How ammunition works in the gun
· Proper grip and stance
· Fundamentals of shooting accurately
· Malfunctions and how to react to them
· How to clean the pistol
· Exam
· Shooting Qualification
This training package includes:
Range time, rental gun, eye and ear protection, and targets.
Students successfully passing this course will be awarded a certificate.
Ammunition is not included.

NRA Range Safety Officer Certification
This course is nine hours long and is conducted in a classroom and at a shooting facility. Range Safety Officer candidates will learn roles and responsibilities of an RSO; Range Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs); range inspection; range rules; range briefings; emergency procedures; and firearm stoppages and malfunctions.
Cost: $200. $50 deposit required.

DELAWARE VALLEY SECURITY CENTER
| Pennsylvania Act 235 Security Agent Training Act 235 training is required security training for any qualified individual who carries a firearm or police style baton as a condition of employment. Common examples of 235 employment include uniformed and non-uniformed private security, armored car companies, body guards, and private investigators. The 235 course content includes instruction in legal aspects of security work, handcuffing, proper baton (nightstick) use, and proper use of handgun and shotgun. • Initial full certification course with firearms – 40 hours, $375 which includes use of a DVSC firearm, ammunition and all other training materials. • Initial full certification course without firearms – 26 hours, $195 which includes all necessary training materials. • Firearm only course (when upgrading from non-firearms certification) – 14 hours, $175 which includes use of a DVSC firearm, ammunition and all other training materials. • An optional 2 hour patrol rifle course is also available through the Act 235 class. The optional patrol rifle class is $75. • To enroll in the full certification Act 235 course the student must have the proper eligibility letter issued by the Pennsylvanian State Police. The letter is issued after the applicant completes and passes the background application, the medical exam, and psychological exam. • Re-certification course with firearms- 8 hours, $150 which includes use of a DVSC firearm, ammunition and all other training materials. To enroll in the re- certification Act 235 course the student must have the proper eligibility letter issued by the Pennsylvanian State Police. The letter is issued after the applicant completes renewal application process. • As part of our commitment to training, we offer our students a discounted shooting range membership to Delaware Valley Sports Center.
